Historicity of a small town
Villa Bufarini is a noble villa inside Colle Sereno, which has enriched the city of Montemarciano for a couple of centuries. It is located just 100m from the historic center, surrounded by a beautiful fenced park, of no hectares. This is a nineteenth-century manor house, which belonged for a long time to the Censi Buffarini family. Originally it consisted of a three-story building but lost the last in the earthquake of 1930. The aesthetic value of the Villa is expressed through interesting architectural elements. The main value of the villa is in fact represented by the façade, symmetrical with respect to a central vertical axis, embellished with a straight double ramp entrance staircase, the entrance door full of friezes, the cast iron railings of the first floor balcony and of the entrance staircase. From here the view, especially on clear days, ranges from the Gulf of Ancona to Monte Conero, up to the Sibillini Mountains to the south. Inside it has found the "Colle Sereno" holiday home, an accommodation that offers a rest stop away from the chaos of the city, but close to the main tourist and cultural attractions of the region. Just 3km away is the beach of the Adriatic Sea, 10km from the motorway tollgate and Falconara Marittima airport, 14km from the center of Ancona.
